North Borneo Railway

Sabah, Malaysia

North Borneo Railway is a vintage train ride operated by Sutera Harbour Resort at KK City. Beginning from Tanjung Aru, the 1954 British Vulcan steam locomotive pulls passengers from the train station through countryside scenery, cutting through Putatan, Kinarut and Kawang townships. Along the way, visitors will be treated to sights of traditional villages, paddy fields, agricultural farms and local children waving as the carriages pass by. The train ride ends at Papar, a coastal town where visitors can explore the local 'Tamu' or market before proceeding back to KK. The train runs every Wednesday and Saturday; continental breakfast and tiffin set lunch is served on board with ticket fees.
